Town and Village Renewal Scheme
The Town and Village Renewal Scheme is an initiative under the Government’s Action Plan for Rural Development and is part of a range of measures to support the revitalisation of rural Ireland under the Government’s Project Ireland 2040 Rural Regeneration Programme.
The 2021 scheme is currently closed.
The scheme is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and administered by the Rural and Community Development Directorate in Clare County Council.
At the launch of a new scheme, the Council will advertise for expressions of interest from towns/villages in the county and will select proposals for development into detailed applications to be submitted to the Department of Rural and Community Development. The central aim of the Town and Village Renewal Scheme is to support the revitalisation of towns and villages, to improve the living and working environment of the local community, and increase the potential of towns and villages to support increased economic activity into the future.
The 2021 scheme is currently closed. Details of any new scheme in 2022 will be posted on this website.
