The Elected Members of Clare County Council have today (Monday, 24th April, 2023) unanimously passed a resolution for the transfer of Shannon Heritage DAC from The Shannon Airport Group to the Local Authority.
Enhancing the delivery of services at a local level and supporting the communities, towns and villages of East Clare as places to live, work and recreate are some of the objectives set out in a new Strategy and Workplan by the Elected Members of Killaloe Municipal District.
Clare County Council has been named winner of the ‘National Impact Award’ at the LAMA (Local Authority Members Association) All Ireland Community & Council Awards 2023, while the Cnoc na Gaoithe Cultural Centre in Tulla picked up an award in the ‘Best Town and Village Regeneration’ category.
Clare County Council has today (Tuesday, 18th April, 2023) received a financial support package from government to facilitate the transfer of the Clare assets of Shannon Heritage from Shannon Airport Group (SAG) to the Local Authority.
Members of the public are being encouraged to become a tourist for the day in County Clare through a new tourism promotion initiative offering free and half-price admission to popular local visitor attractions and sites on Sunday, 23rd April.
Schools, community and voluntary groups and local development companies interested in developing community and sports facilities in County Clare are being invited to apply for funding under the 2023 CLÁR Programme.
Clare County Council is aware that households in our area may have received a notice of termination from their landlord and may be unsure about what to do. Anybody who has received a notice of termination and who has no alternative accommodation can contact their local authority. Clare County Council’s first response will be to support households to try to prevent homelessness.
Limerick City and County Council, in conjunction with Clare County Council and TII, are currently progressing this Project. A Public Consultation will be held to invite submissions/observations from the public and interested stakeholders regarding the proposed Study Area. This information will be used by the Design Team to identify constraints and opportunities within the proposed Study Area and will assist in the development of route corridor options.
There is a public call for submissions for Ireland’s fourth Open Government National Action Plan 2023-2025.
