The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council, Cllr PJ Ryan, and the Mayor of Ennis Municipal District, Cllr Ann Norton, have welcomed the news that Ennis has been named Ireland’s Tidiest Town 2021 and commended all those involved in achieving the prestigious accolade.
The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council, Cllr PJ Ryan, has unveiled a monument at the Memorial Peace Park in Ennis to mark the centenary of the foundation of Soroptimist International.
As part of the Ennis Age Friendly Town initiative, 14 businesses were acknowledged as Age Friendly at an event in the Woodstock Hotel in Ennis on Thursday, 4th November.
The Temple Gate Hotel in Ennis was the venue for an event on Thursday (4th November) to celebrate the 14 people nominated for the Clare Older People’s Volunteer of the Year Award 2021. The function was hosted by the Clare Older People’s Council and supported by Clare County Council.
Clare County Council wishes to advise of revised opening hours at Áras Contae an Chláir in Ennis.
The Local Live Performance Scheme was initiated by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, in the summer of 2021 as a Covid-19 measure to support the live music and arts sector.
