Temporary road closure High Street Ennis to facilitate Ennis Public Realm Regeneration Project
Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 of Clare County Council’s decision to close the road detailed hereunder for the period stated to facilitate the excavation of existing footpaths and carriageway surface, new and replacement of underground services and utilities, replacing of existing public lighting columns and lanterns with new columns and lanterns, Replacing footpaths, resurfacing of existing carriageway surfaces with natural stone and asphalt, new signage and road markings.
Road to be closed:
High St, Ennis, from Harvey’s Quay/Salt House Lane to Bank Place/O’ Connell Square.
Date and time of closure:
From 8th of January 2024 to 31st of July 2024. 24 Hour Closure.
Alternative routes / diversions.
There will be no through road via Salt House Lane to Bank Place/O’Connell Square for the duration of the closure. Diversion route from Harvey’s Quay via Old Friary Lane.
