Housing Options information evenings - Shannon

Clare County Council is pleased to announce that it will host a series of ‘Housing Options’ information evenings over the coming weeks. If you are currently looking to buy, build, lease or rent or if you are seeking information on tenant/landlord rights, responsibilities and obligations then this event is for you.

Information and advice on all the various housing options open to you will be available at the events which will be attended by the following service providers:

  • Banks including AIB, BOI, Ulster Bank, Permanent TSB, EBS, KBC
  • Local Auctioneers
  • Mortgage brokers
  • MABS
  • The Residential Tenancies Board
  • The Local Property Tax unit of Revenue
  • The Housing Agency
  • Threshold

In addition our Housing team will be available to give advice and information on:

  • Housing Assistance Payment (HAP)
  • Rental Accommodation Scheme (RAS)
  • Leasing – long term and short term
  • Housing Adaptation Grants
  • Rebuilding Ireland Home Loan
  • Minimum Rented Standards for Rented Dwellings
  • Qualification criteria for social housing support

We are also inviting those who may have an interest in contributing to housing supply such as property owners, landlords and prospective landlords. To this end we will have information on the Buy and Renew and the Repair to Lease schemes which are available to bring properties back into use for social housing.

The information evenings run over a 5 week period between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. commencing on the 27th February in the Oakwood Arms in Shannon.
