Presiding

The Cathaoirleach, Cllr. P. Murphy presided and welcomed all members and candidates seeking nominations to run in the upcoming Presidential Election and reminded the candidates of their obligation to comply with the Code of Conduct and Clare County Council Standing Orders while addressing the meeting with emphasis on respect, dignity, equality and integrity.

The Cathaoirleach advised that each candidate is allocated a maximum of 15 minutes between presentation time and questions and answers from the councillors.

The Cathaoirleach invited the following candidates to speak:

  1. Searlait Ní Chianáin
  2. Diarmaid Mulcahy
  3. Sarah-Louise Mulligan
  4. Cora Stack
  5. Gerben Uunk

 

The Cathaoirleach thanked all candidates for their presentations and adjourned the meeting for 10 minutes to allow the members to consider the nominations.

The meeting recommenced at 15.35p.m.

The Cathaoirleach sought a nomination from the elected members, as there was no nomination put forward by the members the Cathaoirleach advised that no candidate will be nominated from Clare County Council for the Presidential election 2025.

The Cathaoirleach, Cllr. P. Murphy thanked all the candidates who contacted and presented to Clare County Council, and the members for their attendance.

The meeting then concluded.
