Emergency road closure R462 between St. James Church Knockjames & R458 Lough Cultra Cross
Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 and Article 12(6) Roads Regulations 1994 of Clare County Council’s decision to close the road detailed hereunder for the period stated to facilitate felling of dangerous roadside trees.
Road to be closed:
R-462 between St. James’s Church, Knockjames Tulla and R-458 Lough Cutra Cross.
Date and time of closure:
From 10th November 2025 to 21st November 2025 inclusive between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily.
Alternative routes / diversions;
Diversions for traffic travelling Southbound from R-458 Lough Cutra / Gort will be diverted along the R-461 to Feakle. Traffic will then be diverted along the R-461 to Ballynahinch Cross and onto the R-352 to Tulla.
Diversions for traffic travelling Northbound will be diverted along the R-462 to Tulla. Traffic will then be diverted along the R-352 to Ballynahinch Cross and onto the R-461 towards Feakle and onto Dromindoora.
Local access shall be provided for the duration of the project. A diversion route map is attached below.
