Emergency road closure between R461 Caher Cross & R458 Lough Cutra Cross
Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 and Article 12(6) Roads Regulations 1994 of Clare County Council’s decision to close the road detailed hereunder for the period stated to facilitate emergency road resurfacing works.
Road to be closed:
R-461 between Caher Cross and R-458 Lough Cutra Cross.
Date and time of closure:
From 3rd November 2025 to 7th November 2025 inclusive between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily.
Alternative routes / diversions;
Diversions for traffic travelling Southbound from R-458 Lough Cutra / Gort will be diverted from R-458 onto the R-462 to Tulla. Traffic will then be diverted along the R-352 to Ballynahinch Cross and onto the R-461 to Feakle and Dromindoora.
Diversions for traffic travelling Northbound will be diverted along the R-461 to Feakle. Traffic will then be diverted along the R-461 to Ballynahinch Cross onto the R-352 for Tulla and onto the R-462 towards R-458 Lough Cutra Cross.
Local access shall be provided for the duration of the project. A diversion route map is attached below.
