Resurfacing Works on R474

Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays due to resurfacing works on the R474 at Shanavogh East on the Ennis to Miltown Malbay road until Thursday, 12th November.

The Draft Register of Electors for 2021/2022 has now been published and can be inspected at Post Offices, Garda Stations, Offices of the Local Authority, and the Franchise Office, Council Headquarters and on the web at www.clarecoco.ie  and www.checktheregister.ie

Cloister/GAA car park opening hours

Notice of variation to the basic rate of Local Property Tax

22 September 2020

In pursuance of the provisions of section 20 of the Finance (Local Property Tax) Act 2012 (as amended) at a meeting of Clare County Council on 21st September 2020 a resolution was passed to the effect that the basic rate of Local Property Tax should stand varied upwards by 15 per cent for the year 2021 in respect of relevant residential properties situated in the local authority’s administrative area.

Have your say on the new Clare County Development Plan

The Planning Department of Clare County Council has today (18th September, 2020) officially commenced the process of preparing the new Clare County Development Plan for the period 2022-2028.

The County Development Plan sets out an overall strategy for the proper planning and sustainable development of the county over a six-year period. Every six years, the Planning Authority is legally obliged to make a new County Development Plan, which must set out the strategic spatial vision and future direction for the County.
