Clare County Council confirmed today that the Michael Cusack Centre, situated in the heart of the Burren, has been selected as the new home of the Púca.

Ennis is thriving as the social and cultural hub of County Clare and the retail offer in the town centre is robust, a Clare County Council survey has found.

The music, food and visitor attractions of County Clare will be in the national spotlight on Wednesday next (18th May) when RTÉ’s popular Today show airs live from Bunratty Castle and Folk Park.

Did you know that cycling is suitable for all ages and abilities? Clare Sports Partnership have much to choose from! From balance bikes to hybrid bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, tandems bikes, trike and eBikes. Cycling is one of the truly inclusive sports. 

Local authorities must identify official bathing areas in their area every year so that they can be monitored for safety, water quality and their level of use.  To help with this process, Clare County Council are asking people who swim at beaches, lakes and rivers to tell them if they think they should maintain existing designated bathing waters designations or give a new official bathing area designation to areas that are commonly used for swimming, but not identified at the moment.

Mayor of Ennis Municipal District, Cllr Ann Norton, and members of Clare County Council hosted a Mayoral Reception to honour local groups and individuals for their outstanding achievements on 6th May, 2022, in the Civic Room of the Buttermarket Building in Drumbiggle, Ennis.

A second phase of public and stakeholder consultation is underway in relation to the development of a long-term strategy and site masterplan for Ireland’s most visited natural attraction.

The contract for the construction of the new County Library at the Causeway Link adjacent to glór in Ennis was signed on Friday, 22nd April, in the Council Chamber at Áras Contae an Chláir by Patrick Gardiner of Coolsivna and Chief Executive of Clare County Council, Pat Dowling, in the presence of the Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council, Cllr PJ Ryan.
