Can I vote?

The registration authority needs to know a person's citizenship to determine the elections at which they may vote.
Every person aged 18 years or over who are ordinarily resident at a particular address within the state are entitled to be registered.
The right to vote is as follows:
- Irish citizens have full voting rights and may vote at every election and referendum;
- British citizens may vote at Dáil, European and Local Elections;
- EU citizens (other than British citizens) may vote at European and Local Elections;
- Non-EU citizens may vote at Local Elections only.
