Clare Apple Tree Project 2021

Project Oversubscribed due to an overwhelming number of responses, all our trees have been allocated in record time. Have a look below for links to gardening information, so you can still get growing this spring. 

Clare County Council's Heritage Office is launching a new initiative this month providing free apple trees to get people out growing their own and connecting with nature in their own gardens.

1. The project is open to anybody in Co. Clare, with a particular focus on urban gardens where people may have limited opportunities for contact with nature. 

2. All trees need to be pre-booked 

3. After the project a map will be published showing all planting locations, therefore your Eircode is required when applying for your trees. Please read the privacy statement for details of data collection and use for this project here.

4. Collection details have been changed. Successful applicants will be emailed with new time and location details.

Note: Due to government guidelines this project is only open to those who live within 5km of Ennis or those who are travelling anyway for food.
