Road Works Speed Limit Order - West Clare Municipal District from 1/7/2019 to 1/1/2020

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act 2004 that Clare County Council intends to introduce a Temporary Road Traffic 50km/hr Speed Limit, by way of a Road Works Speed Limit Order to facilitate road improvement works within the West Clare Municipal District.

This involves the introduction of a 50 km/hr Temporary Speed Limit on the following roads;

  • The N67, starting at 57m south of the entrance of the Kilrush GAA club entrance gate to a point 836m Northwards from the Kilrush GAA club on the N67 .
  • The N67, starting at 86m east from the entrance to Moyasta national school to a point 80m westwards from the junction of the N67 and the L-2016-0 in the townland of Lisdeen.
  • The R483, starting at 70m east from the junction of the L-6122-0 to a point 1025m eastwards from the junction of the R483 and the L-6122-0 in the townland of Tullabrack.
  • The R484, starting at 120m east from the junction of the L-6184-0 to a point 910m westwards from the junction of the R484 and the L-6184-0 in the townland of Sheeaun.
  • The R473, starting at 330m North from the junction of the L-8260-0 to the existing 50km/hr speed limit in Drumquin village.

Maps are available for inspection at the Roads and Transportation Department, Clare County Council, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare

This Road Works Speed Limit Order will be effective from 1st July 2019 for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
