Road Works Speed Limit Order - N18 Shannon Municipal District Area

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act 2004 that Clare County Council intends to introduce a Temporary Road Traffic 60 km/hr Speed Limit, by way of a Road Works Speed Limit Order to facilitate Transverse Duct Crossing Works within the Shannon Municipal District.

This involves the putting in place of a 60 km/hr Temporary Speed Limit between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 on the following road;

On the N18, northbound between Marker Post (MP) 90/6 (100m after the on-slip at J4 Cratloemoyle) and MP 83/5 (500m after the off-slip at J6 Bunratty). A distance of approximately 7.1km

On the N18, southbound between Marker Post (MP) 81/2 (immediately after the off-slip for J7 Sixmilebridge) and MP 90/0 (900m after the off-slip at J5 Cratloe). A distance of approximately 8.8km

A map outlining the extent of the speed limits is attached below.

This Road Works Speed Limit Order will take effect from 20th May 2022 for a period of 3 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
