Proposed Section 38 traffic calming measures at Smithstown, Ballycasey More, Tullyvarraga Shannon
Notice is hereby given that Clare County Council, pursuant to the provisions of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, propose to install the following traffic calming measures at:
Smithstown, Ballycasey More and Tullyvarraga in Shannon, Co. Clare
Construction of the following:
- A raised pedestrian crossing on the roadway between Cluain Lia and Ros An Oir;
- Raised tables on the roadways within Gleann Rua and Cluain Donn residential developments; and
- A raised pedestrian crossing on the roadway at the junction of Bothar na Luachra, Clairin Glas and Carraig Hill.
Together with the construction of other associated works including tightened junctions, new footpaths, widening of existing footpaths, new kerbs, dropped kerbs, tactile paving, relocation of drainage pipes & gullies, relocation of poles & other existing services, all associated signs & road markings, bollards, provision of public lighting and road reinstatement.
Plans and particulars for the above development are attached below and will be available until 5th September 2022.
Objections or representations in relation to the proposals may be made by email to roads@clarecoco.ie or in writing to the Administrative Officer, Transportation Department, Clare County Council, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare before 4:00 p.m. on Monday 5th September 2022.
