Proposed Section 38 traffic calming measures at Clonmoney West

Notice is hereby given that Clare County Council, pursuant of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, proposes to install the following traffic calming measures:

R458 (260 metres West of Clonmoney National School). Clonmoney West, Co. Clare

Construction of a controlled pedestrian crossing with belisha beacons. Removal of existing uncontrolled crossing. Construction of dished kerbing, red tactile paving, all associated signs and road markings. The proposal includes a temporary reduction in the speed limit from 80kph to 60kph, installing new signage and new road lining in accordance with the Traffic Signs Manual and carry out all ancillary site works.

Plans and Particulars of the above development are attached below and will be available until 21st June 2021.

Objections or representations in relation to the proposals may be made in writing to Administrative Officer, Transportation Section, Clare County Council, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare before 4:00 p.m. on Monday 21st June 2021.
