Non- Statutory Public Consultation - Tulla Road Cycle Scheme
Clare County Council has secured grant funding from the National Transport Authority (NTA) to deliver Active Travel schemes throughout county Clare. €1.8 million in Active Travel grant funding has been provided to upgrade the existing cycling infrastructure on the Tulla Road, Ennis (R352 regional road) between St. Senan’s Road and Hillcrest junction.
The purpose of this scheme is to improve safety and continuity for cyclists via the provision of a suite of traffic calming measures including vertically segregated cycle lanes, shared surfaces, tightened junctions together with raised cyclist / pedestrian crossings and associated works.
We are hosting a non-statutory public consultation over a two-week period from 10th to 24th March to seek input from, and discuss any concerns with, residence and businesses in the area and the wider public about our scheme proposals.
During this period, we will host two open evenings from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, 14th and Wednesday, 15th March in the foyer of Clare County Council offices on New Road in Ennis where members of the public may come to view the scheme drawings and interact with the Design Team.
The scheme plans and particulars may be viewed at the following link: https://yoursay.clarecoco.ie/tulla-road-cycle-scheme
Submissions in respect of our proposals may be made by email to roads@clarecoco.ie with the subject line: ‘Tulla Road Cycle Scheme’ or alternatively in writing to: The Administrative Officer, Transportation Department, Clare County Council, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare before 4:00 p.m. on Friday 24th March 2023.
