Draft Killaloe-Ballina Town Enhancement and Mobility Plan

Clare County Council and Tipperary County Council have jointly prepared a Draft Killaloe-Ballina Town Enhancement and Mobility Plan. The Draft Plan outlines a coordinated approach to public realm enhancements within Killaloe (town in County Clare) and Ballina (town in County Tipperary),providing a clear vision for Killaloe and Ballina as linked settlements in the context of the changing transport and mobility profile of the towns, as a result of the future Killaloe Bypass and Shannon bridge crossing.
Clare County Council and Tipperary County Council are looking for your views on the Draft Plan and hereby invites any interested parties or individuals to make submissions and observations in respect of the Draft Plan.

The Draft Plan is accompanied by a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Environmental Report that details the likely significant environmental effects of implementing the Draft Plan, if unmitigated. The Draft Plan is also accompanied by a Natura Impact Report, which considers potential significant effects on the integrity of European sites. These reports and the consultation on the Draft Plan are prepared in accordance with the European Communities (Environmental Assessment of Certain Plans and Programmes) Regulations 2004 (as amended) and European Communities (Birds and Natural Habitats) Regulations 2011 (as amended).

Public Consultation Webinar
As part of the public consultation process, a public webinar event on the Draft Killaloe-Ballina Town Enhancement and Mobility Plan will be held on:
• Wednesday 21st July 2021 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Submissions or observations must be made in writing from Friday 9th July 2021 and up to 5.00pm on Friday, 20th August 2021.
