In greening of festivals and events there is great benefit to the organizers and businesses associated with these festivals. Greening of festivals not only reduces the impact on the local environment, before, during and after the event, but also helps reduce costs in terms of waste, water and energy consumed.

Circular Cups for Community Events
Clare County Council are supporting the Circular Cups for Community Events initiative to reduce waste and replace single use cups at community events and festivals.
The reusable cup service, funded through the 2025 Anti-Dumping Initiative, is available to not for profit community events across the Southern Region which includes Co. Clare.. The cups can be washed and reused up to 300 times.
By choosing reusable cups, event organisers can:
- Reduce waste
- Cut down on litter
- Support the circular economy
- Make events more environmentally friendly
