Putting the house in order seminar hosted by Clare Older People’s Council
It’s that time of year again when you are planning ahead, vowing to lose the weight, get fitter, setting smart goals in many areas of your life.
There is one thing that you may not have thought about because, mostly, here in Ireland, we don’t like to and that is planning for what happens after you go or when, for some reason, you are no longer in a position to make or describe your plans for the future.
That’s why, with financial support from the Community Fund for Ireland, and in association with the Irish Hospice Foundation, Clare Older People’s Council will run and host a series of seminars over the next five months, called “Putting the House in Order.”
The seminar will include a presentation on ‘Enduring Power of Attorney’ by local solicitor Sharon Cahir, and a presentation by Rebecca Lloyd of the Irish Hospice Foundation on planning ahead so that those closest to you will know and understand what your wishes are. Please note that this is primarily an information and planning session, it is not about bereavement or bereavement counseling.
The first seminar in the series will take place in Ennis. Admission is free, however places are limited so booking is essential, by telephoning Helen on (065) 684 6240. If we cannot accommodate you on this occasion we will put your name on a list for one of the other locations in the county.
