Plastic Imprints at Clare Museum
Clare-based contemporary visual artist and teacher Evelyn Sorohan will present her latest exhibition, entitled Plastic Imprints, at Clare Museum from the 3rd to 26th of April.
As part of the upcoming exhibition, the former student of the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) and the Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) will also be facilitating two workshops with local schools.
Within the exhibition each piece is made with plastic (rubbish) leaves which Evelyn has salvaged, and later melted, shaped and painted. The plastic processes which are experimental in nature are crucial to the integrity of her work. Evelyn is interested in the environmental impact of plastic on the planet and explores this theme in her work.
The official launch of Plastic Imprints takes place at Clare Museum on April 6th at 3.00pm. The event is free and all are welcome to attend.
