Road Works Speed Limit Order - Ennis Municipal District from 1/6/2019 to 31/5/2020

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act 2004 that Clare County Council intend to extend a Temporary Road Traffic 80km/hr & 60 km/hr Speed Limit by way of a Road Works Speed Limit Order arising from activities associated with road improvement/road safety within the Ennis Municipal District.

Proposed 80km/hr Speed Limit:

Section One

On the Ennistimon/Inagh to Ennis Road (N-85) starting at a point 475 meters north west of junction with Local Road (L-8298-0) and going south east (towards Ennis) for a distance of 565 meters, to a point 90 meters east of junction with Local Road (L-8298-0) in the townlands of Leckaun and Rushaun.

Section Two

On the Ennistimon/Inagh to Ennis Road (N-85) starting at a point 1,400 meters north east of junction with Local Road (L-4144-0) known as Kilnamona Cross and going first north east and then south east (towards Ennis) for a distance of 990 meters to a point 2,390 meters north east and then south east of junction with local Road (L-4144-0) in the townlands of Croaghaun and Shalee.

Proposed 60 km/hr Speed Limit:

Section One

On the Ennistimon/Inagh to Ennis Road (N-85) starting at a point 90 meters east of junction with Local Road (L-8298-0) and first going north east and then south east (towards Ennis) for a distance of 2,580 meters to a point 1,400 meters north east of junction with Local Road (L-4144-0) known as Kilnamona Cross in the townlands of Rushaun, Ballynock, Knockatemple, Kilnamona, Mweelagarraun, Croaghaun and Shalee.

Section Two

On the Local Road (L-4144-0) from its junction with the Ennistimon/Inagh to Ennis Road (N85) and going north east (towards Kilnamona Church and School) for a distance of 37 meters in the townlands of Knockatemple and Kilnamona.

This Road Works Speed Limit Order will be extended for a period of one year from 1st June 2019 until 31st May 2020.
