Proposed Traffic Calming Measures - West Clare Municipal District - N67 Fahy's Road, Kilrush

Notice is hereby given that Clare County Council, pursuant of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 proposed to install the following traffic calming measures:


N67 Fahy’s Road, Kilrush, Co. Clare

Construction of a zebra controlled pedestrian crossing including traffic island. Construction of footpath build out, dished kerbing, red tactile paving on approaches and centre of traffic island. Raising manhole cover. Erecting belisha beacons with integral fitted street lights and erecting bollards. Installing high friction surfacing on Northern approach. Installing new signage in accordance with the Traffic Signs Manual. N67 from Kilkee to be reduced from two lane entry to the roundabout to single lane entry. New road layout lining in accordance with the Traffic Signs Manual.


Plans and particulars of the proposed scheme as shown on drawing number R.2018.54.07.02 - 002 Revision A are available for inspection from Friday 22nd March 2019 at the Offices of Clare County Council, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co Clare and the West Clare Municipal District Office of Clare County Council, Kilrush, Co. Clare during Office hours – 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday each week until Tuesday 23rd April 2019.


Objections or representations in relation to the proposals may be made in writing to Administrative Officer, Transportation Section, Clare County Council, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare before 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday 23rd April 2019.
