Proposed Traffic Calming Measures - Shannon Municipal District - Cratloe Cross Roads

Notice is hereby given that Clare County Council, pursuant of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, proposed to install the following traffic calming measures:

Junction of R462 and L3102 Cratloe Cross Roads, Co. Clare

Construction of a controlled signalised pedestrian crossing, new access public footpath and installation of three new public lights.  Removal of an existing section of footpath, installation of 50kph repeater signs, construction of dished kerbing, red tactile paving, all associated signs and road markings, puffin crossing signal poles, high friction surfacing, reinstatement of existing transverse yellow bar markings, SLOW markings and installation of a speed display sign.

Plans and particulars of the proposed scheme as shown on drawing numbers R-2018-06-15-01-001 and R-2018-06-15-01-002 are available for inspection from Friday 8th February 2019 at the Offices of Clare County Council, Transportation Section, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co Clare and the Shannon Municipal District Office of Clare County Council, Shannon, Co. Clare during Office hours – 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday each week until Friday 8th March  2019.

Objections or representations in relation to the proposals may be made in writing to Administrative Officer, Transportation Section, Clare County Council, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare before 4:00 p.m. on 8th March 2019.
