Historic Structures Fund 2019

30 November 2018

Closing date: Thursday January 31, 2019

The Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht has announced the Historic Structures Fund 2019 (HSF), which provides financial assistance for conservation works on a limited number of protected buildings in private and civic ownership.

The €1.8 million national fund for the HSF is being made available as part of "Investing in our Culture, Language and Heritage 2018-2027". The primary focus of the HSF will be on conservation and enhancement of historic structures and buildings for the benefit of communities and the public.

Stream 1 of the fund will offer grants between €15,000-€50,000 and is aimed at essential repairs and smaller capital works for the refurbishment and conservation of heritage structures.

Stream 2 of the fund will offer a small number of grants between €50,000-€200,000 for larger enhancement, refurbishment or reuse projects involving heritage structures, where a clear community or public benefit has been demonstrated.

Please note that multiple applications for the same structure under different streams of the Historic Structures Fund or the Built Heritage Investment Scheme will not be considered.  Therefore please ensure your proposed project meets the required criteria before submitting an application.
