Closure of R471 Sixmilebridge-Clonlara Road

The R471 Sixmilebridge-Clonlara road is closed to through traffic immediately west of Cooleycasey cross with immediate effect due to dangerous trees following Storm Ophelia. Once we are in a position to re-open the road we will advise immediately. In the meantime all motorists are advised to take alternative routes.

Tree made safe, road now re-opened to traffic.
