Creating Space applications sought from artists and film makers

Date issued: 02/10/17

The Clare County Council Arts Office, supported by The Arts Council, is inviting artists and film makers to submit proposals that propose inventive ways of working or engaging with communities and audiences.

Under the terms of the Creating Space initiative, communities may be communities of interest or local groups in a specific area.

“Creating quality opportunities for artists and the public to interact and inspire each other is one of the core aims of the County Clare Arts Plan,” explained Siobhán Mulcahy, County Arts Officer.

She continued, “The supports offered through this scheme can help artists work intensively with a group for a period of time, or on a more prolonged basis over a longer period of time. Previous examples of projects undertaken are very varied and include community film making with young people in East Clare and artist led projects in the Burren.”

Application forms and full details are available from arts@clarelibrary.ie, 065 6899091 or can be downloaded below.

The closing date for applications is 27 October 2017.
